Incident: Jocko Lakes

Mother Nature moved in with late afternoon showers over the past two days and effectively replaced the need for helicopters to drop water on hot spots. There is an excellent chance the projected full containment date of October 1st will be met based on the current and forecasted weather conditions and the assigned resources on the fire. For now the current containment of the 36,388-acre Jocko Lakes Fire remains at 95%.
Crews and equipment continued to make excellent progress with suppression related rehabilitation and have secured firelines on the western edge of the fire perimeter outside of the tribal wilderness.
Looking for and mopping up hot spots along the edge of the fire on the west and monitoring the unlined portion of the fire within the Tribal Wilderness will continue tomorrow. Rehabilitation of suppression-related damage will also continue tomorrow. Additional resources and equipment will be released tomorrow.
Committed Resources: Resources assigned to the fire today includes 2-crews, 8-engines, 15-dozers, 3-water tenders, overhead personnel and camp crews for a total of 176 personnel.
Weather: Cool and rainy weather is in the forecast through Thursday.
