JOCKO LAKES FIRE STATUS: Firefighters have made excellent progress and continue to mop up, patrol and pull hose from N, E, and S fire lines. The majority of the fire area is showing minimal smoke, mainly in the interior. Where feasible, handcrews completed the fireline on the western perimeter. Due to concerns for firefighter safety, Division Q will be left unlined and containment will continue to be supported by helicopter bucket drops.
The SW corner of the fire will be monitored by air and kept in check with aerial resources. The N, E & SE flanks of the fire are in patrol status. There is some residual heat in the Boles Creek area on the S end. Rehabilitation work will continue on private and federal land along the north and east flanks.
