A public meeting will be held tonight at 8:00 pm at Seeley Lake Elementary School. There will be no public meeting at Bonner.
The Missoula County Sheriff's Office in conjunction with the Alaska Interagency Incident Management Team has modified the evacuation orders in effect adjacent to the Jocko Lakes Fire.
In most of the previously evacuated areas re-entry has been allowed with some conditions. The only areas still under mandatory evacuation are:
·1. North Boy Scout Road
·2. Properties on or accessed from Snowmass Road.
·3. South and West sides of Placid Lake.
·4. Campgrounds and day use areas on the shores of Seeley Lake.
Travel on Highway 83 between Clearwater Junction and Mile Marker 31 (at the summit) remains limited to travel only by residents.
Long term dry and dangerous weather conditions could lead to increased fire activity and the need to immediately evacuate these areas again. Residents returning to these areas must be prepared to evacuate rapidly if ordered by authorities. Authorities will signal the need to evacuate by several short blasts of a siren.
