Evacuation / Re-entry Information
The Missoula County Sheriff's Office in conjunction with the Alaska Interagency Incident Management Team has modified the evacuation orders in effect adjacent to the Jocko Lakes Fire.
Primarily this is to allow people to go back into their homes on the east side of Hwy 83. This is the RIGHT side of the highway if you're headed from Clearwater Junction toward Kalispell.
This includes all residences and businesses along Golf Drive East of Highway 83 and between the town of Seeley Lake and the Double Arrow Resort including Double Arrow residential complex and roads to residential areas on the EAST side of Highway 83.
Travel on Highway 83 between Clearwater Junction and Condon remains limited to use by residents.
Long term dry and dangerous weather conditions could lead to increased fire activity and the need to immediately evacuate these areas again. Residents returning to these areas must be prepared to evacuate within 90 minutes if ordered by authorities. Authorities will signal the need to evacuate by several short blasts of a siren.

Individuals suffering from heart or respiratory ailments that may be aggravated by poor air quality associated with wildfire smoke should consider staying out of the area until air quality improves. In addition those individual that are not prepared to evacuate within a 90 minute notice should not re-enter these areas.
