Transition Completed

Incident: Skyland Wildland Fire

After a day of working together, the transition of this fire from the PNW Incident Management Team to the Tom Heintz Northern Rockies Incident Management Team was completed at 06:00 this morning. At this morning's briefing Incident Commander Tom Heintz thanked the previous team for their good work, and for leaving all aspects of the fire package in such good shape. Operational changes will not be immediately obvious and the suppression plans will continue. Heintz also reminded the firefighters of this fires safety record, and encouraged the crews to continue thinking of firefighter and public safety as the number one goal on this fire.
