Location: 20 miles northwest of Davis Creek, California
Date and Time of Fire Start: July 10 at 1:15 p.m.
Cause: Under Investigation
Fuels: Timber (Jeffrey pine, White fir, Juniper) and grass
Cooperating Agencies: USDA Forest Service (USFS), USDI Bureau of Land Management (BLM), Oregon Department of Forestry (ODF), Cal Fire, Davis Creek VFD, US Fish & Wildlife Service (FWS), Modoc County, local government, Collins Pine Company, and private contractors
Estimated Fire Size: 2,900 Acres
Estimated Fire Containment: 10%
Estimated Expected Containment: TBD
Cost to Date: $80,000

Committed Resources: 200 total personnel that include 4 Fire Crews, 14 Engines, 4 Dozers, 3 Water Tenders, and fire support personnel

Fire Activity: Yesterday, firefighters reported extreme fire behavior with long-range spotting. The fire slowed during the night allowing firefighters to construct dozer line around the southwest and southeast flanks of the fire. The fire is burning high value commercial timber on both private and USFS lands.
Today's Actions: Fire crews will construct hand and dozer line along the northeast flanks of the fire.
Closures: None.
Remarks: The Type 2 Incident Management Team (Nor Cal 2, Kaage) will take command of the Fletcher Fire at 6:00pm this evening.
