Burned Areas Reopen

Incident: Pattengail Creek Wildland Fire

BURNED AREAS REOPEN

WISDOM, MONT., Oct. 1, 2007-The areas burned by the Rat Creek fire west of Wisdom and the Pattengail Creek fire, southwest of Wise River, will reopen to the public first thing on Tuesday (October 2).

Both fires were in the Beaverhead-Deerlodge National Forest.

The two fires were declared "contained" on September 25, and fire crews have now completed work on the two blazes.

Hunters and others entering the burned areas should be alert for falling trees, officials said.
