Fool Creek Fire Getting Active Again

Incident: Fool Creek Wildland Fire Used for Resource Benefit

Choteau, Mont., Aug. 12, 2007, 4 p.m.-High winds and warmer temperatures had come to the Fool Creek fire, west of Choteau.

A lookout at Gooseberry cabin reported a large column of smoke near Mt. May, inside the fire's perimeter. Firefighters also noted increased fire activity at both Crazy and Circus creeks.

A more exact reconnaissance of the fire will be done later in the day to gauge just how much the fire grew today.
