Helicopters dropped water to cool hot spots and air tankers dropped retardant, assisting crews on the ground. Night operations with engines and other heavy equipment patrolled all lines for spot fires.

Today's Strategy: Firefighting personnel will continue to reinforce existing fireline. Hand crews will resume construction of line along the western edge. Air support from helicopters and tankers will be utilized, as necessary. Weather conditions through Wednesday are predicted to be hotter and drier, with lighter winds.
Special Messages/Closures: Vegetation is quickly drying out, and fire danger in the Maggie Creek Supervisory Area is VERY HIGH. Please use extreme caution when enjoying the outdoors!
