Whitebark Fire Quiet Since Labor Day

Fire officials have been watching the Whitebark fire regularly, especially during the warming and drying trend we've had lately. They haven't seen smoke from the fire since just before Labor Day, Sept. 1. Officials will check the fire on the ground after the next rain or snow to determine if it's out or not.
