Location: Trinity Alps Wilderness
Agency Jurisdiction: Unified Command-USDA Forest Service and Hoopa Valley Indian Tribe.

Due to a change in weather forecast, fire officials are re-assessing the strategy for the next few days. The fire is expected to continue to spread slowly by creeping, backing, and short runs. If the fire becomes active, areas most likely to experience spread would be the southwest into Horse Linto Creek and Quinby Creek, and northwest into the South Fork of Tish Tang Creek. Firefighter and public safety continue to be the number one priority on this incident. Rolling logs, large snags (both standing and downed) and narrow, winding mountain roads are safety challenges for fire personnel.
California Interagency Incident Management Team 3 assumed command of the fire on Monday, September 2nd, at 6:00am.
Evacuations: None currently in place. The structures at risk are outside the fire perimeter.
Road Closures: Six Rivers National Forest issued an emergency fire road closure 8/30/2013 (Order No. 10-13-16) for all or part of the following roads: Forest roads 8N03, 6N03, 8N01. Road closures on the Hoopa Valley Indian Reservation include Big Hill Road, Tish Tang Road, Mill Creek Gap, and Four Corners due to increased fire personnel traffic and fire suppression activities.
Area & Trail Closures: For public safety and to ensure safe access for firefighters and equipment, public access is restricted in the fire area.
