Whiskey Complex Road and Campground Closures
Incident: Whiskey Complex Wildfire
Being in the area for public health and safety
Pursuant to Title 36 CFR Part 261.50(b), the following acts are prohibited within the boundaries of the Umpqua National Forests, Tiller Ranger District as shown in Exhibit A and A1 – Location Map, to provide for public health and safety in the area due to a fire. The order is effective beginning July 27, 2013 and ending on August 30th, 2013, unless rescinded sooner.
1) Being on the road. [36 CFR 261.54(e)]
Forest Service (FS) Road 29 (Buckeye Bridge) Closed at junction with FS Road 28.
Forest Service (FS) Road 2925 at the junction of 2925-600. (Whiskey Camp Road)
Forest Service (FS) Road 3114 (Soup Creek Junction)
Ash Flat Campground
2) Going into or being upon an area closed [36 CFR 261.53(e)]
for Public health or safety.
Pursuant to 36 CFR 261.50(e), the following persons are exempt from this order:
1) Any Federal, State, or local Officer of an organized rescue or fire fighting force in the performance of an official duty.
2) Persons with a permit specifically authorizing the otherwise prohibited act or omission.
These prohibitions are in addition to the general prohibitions in Title 36 CFR Part 261, Subpart A.
This order will become effective immediately.
