Highway 97 Remains Closed Over Satus Pass

No reopening time established for US 97 over Satus PassWSDOT offers a number of tools to help drivers navigate southern Washington
SATUS PASS – Spot fires, heavy smoke and danger trees are preventing crews from reopening US 97 between Toppenish and Goldendale.A reopening date has not been set. Reopening US 97 depends on many different variables, including weather and fire behavior. The Washington State Department of Transportation, Washington State Patrol and fire officials are continually reevaluating conditions. The highway will reopen as soon as it is safe for travelers.
WSDOT has set up a hotline for travelers to call and hear a recorded message with the latest highway information: 509-577-1617. The hotline is updated at least once a day.
