Evacuation Order Rescinded
Incident: Moose Meadow Wildfire
The Evacuation Order issued July 28, 2013 by the Granite County Sheriff is rescinded at 8 a.m. August 2, 2013. The Evacuation Order was replaced with a Stage 2 Evacuation Warning.
Local residents may return to their homes, however, evacuation continues to be recommended for persons requiring extraordinary care and large mobile property. The Red Cross Shelter at Granite High School will be in standby mode.
Though residents may access to their homes, the Middle Fork Road remains closed to the public. The fire area remains under a Forest Closure Order No. 2013-D8-029 because of concerns for public health and safety. The following trails within the closure area are closed: 8109, 8020, 8162, 8019, and 8161. Trail 313 is open; however, NF lands within the above described boundary to the north of Trail 313 are closed.
