1801 N. First Street Hamilton, MT 59840 Forest Supervisor's Order Emergency Area Closure
Pursuant to Title 36 Code of Federal Regulation 261.50(a), the following acts are prohibited as described below, within the West Fork Ranger District on the Bitterroot National Forest. These restrictions are in addition to those enumerated in Subpart A, Part 261, Title 36, Code of Federal Regulations and will remain in effect from July 27,2013 until rescinded.
36 CFR 261.53(e)- Special Closures:
It is prohibited to enter or be upon any area which is closed for the protection of "Public Health and Safety" (Title 36 CFR 261.53(e)).
The purpose for these restrictions is to provide for public safety due to wildfires.
Area Description: West Fork Ranger District- Frank Church River of No Return Wilderness Areas South of Magruder Road Corridor and Trail #37 to BeaverJack Mtn to Trail #13 east toward Trail #36 south back to Magruder Road.
The area immediately south of Magruder Road Corridor from Nez Perce Pass west the Junction of Magruder Crossing and continues west along Magruder Road to Salmon Base Camp. From Salmon Base Camp head south on Trail # 19 to the Junction of Trail #73 Goat Ridge and head east to Thompson Flat where it meets Trail #31 Wood Hump and head southeast to junction of Trail #30 Storm Creek and follow that NE to Trail #16 west of Two Buck Springs and head north along Trail #16 back to Nez Perce Pass.
Additionally, Trail #37 from Magruder Road to BeaverJack Mtn to the Junction of Trail #13 and head east along Trail #13 to the Junction of Trail #36 head south back to Magruder Road are also included in this closure.
All Forest Service road and trails as identified within the prohibited area are closed.

THE ATTACHED VICINITY MAP IS HEREBY MADE A PART OF THIS ORDER.
Pursuant to Title 36 CFR 261.50( e), the following are exempt from this restriction :
I. Persons with a permit issued by a forest officer specifically authorizing the otherwise prohibited act or omission .
2. Any Federal, State, or local officer or member of an organized rescue or tire fighting force in the performance of an official

Violation of these prohibitions is punishable by a fine of not more than $5,000 for an individual or $10,000 for an organization, or imprisonment for not more than six (6) months, or both (16 USC 551 and 18 USC 3559 and 3571).
A copy of this order shall be posted as prescribed under 36 CFR 261.51.
