Fuels: Chaparral, Pinyon pine, juniper and ponderosa pine – Dense brush transitions to timber
Size: Approximately 7,000 acres (acreage may change when aerial and ground mapping is completed)

Tony Sciacca’s Southwest Area Type I Incident Management Team will arrive Wednesday, June 19 to assume management of the fire.

Behavior: The fire was active overnight on the NE corner by the Williamson Valley Corridor and on the SW corner by Granite Mountain Wilderness. No structures have been lost and no injuries have occurred.
For today: Anticipate using air tankers and helicopters again today, weather permitting.
