Prescribed Burning to Continue in Five Lakes Area Feb 5

Fire managers continued prescribed burning in the Five Lakes area, south of the Chickasaw Cultural Center, on February 4. Approximately 550 total acres have been treated to date in the Five Lakes area. Fire managers plan to continue burning in the Five Lakes area, west of Five Lakes and Cedar Blue, on February 5. Ignitions are anticipated to begin mid-afternoon and may continue throughout the evening. Winds on Tuesday, February 5, are anticipated to be light and variable.
