Fire Update: The operations for today will be a repeat of yesterday's shift. The rehabilitation of dozer lines is the priority and indications are that will be accomplished by end of shift tonight. With that completed this Incident Management Team will have completed the assignment and the fire management will be turned back to the Northern Cheyenne Agency for any further work. That transition is planned to occur at 0600 a.m. tomorrow morning. Any further informational updates or questions will be handled by that agency. Resources that are not needed to be transitioned in that return of the incident management will be demobilized tonight as well.
Weather for today is forecast to be mostly sunny with maximum temperatures of 76-81 degrees with minimum humidity of 21-26 %. That is essentially an unchanged weather from yesterday and indicates that cooler, wetter trend that happening. We will have light winds in the morning and possibly up to 10-15 mph in the afternoon. There are no thunderstorms in the forecast. It is becoming evident with the shorter day length and fantastic fall colors in this area of the region, that fall is in the air!
The temporary flight restrictions that have been in place over and around this fire area have been lifted.
