Table Mountain Fire Update- Final

Ellensburg - The public information staff at the Table Mountain Fire is being released tomorrow, and all future inquiries regarding operations, closures, or rehabilitation are being directed to the local area managers of the US Forest Service and the Washington State Department of Natural Resources, contact information is below.

Some smoke continues to rise from The Table Mountain Fire as interior fuels continue to burn within the fireline. Fuels remain extremely dry in Central Washington. A state-wide burn ban remains in effect through midnight, Oct. 15.

Rehabilitation work is expected to continue for few more days. Approximately 200 firefighters and equipment operators are working to restore and rehabilitate areas that were impacted by suppression efforts. Closures remain in effect for the Okanogan-Wenatchee National Forest east of US 97 to the Naneum State Forest west of Coleman Road. These restrictions will remain in place indefinitely. Any changes in the status of forest closures will be made available to the public on the following websites: www.fs.usda.gov/okawen and www.dnr.wa.gov.
