Chall Creek Announcement

Closures to be Lifted

Incident: Chall Creek Wildfire

Forest road closures will be lifted on Sunday, September 22, at 6 am. Please avoid hunting or traveling in the immediate vicinity of the fire. Firefighters willl be working in the area and engines will be along the roads. Hunters are asked to be aware of their presence and use extreme caution. Hazards exist in recently burned areas such as pockets of heat, open flames, rolling debris, and snags. Lodgepole pine trees have very shallow root systems and will fall without warning if a breeze comes up. Do not camp near dead snags and be aware of weather conditions and changes in wind.
