Wildcat Fire Update 4

Incident: Wildcat Wildfire
Released: 9/14/2012

The Wildcat Fire located approximately 15 miles south of Newcastle, WY has not seen a size increase in over twenty four hours; it remains at 75 acres and 92% contained. The cause of the fire has been determined to be lightning. Objectives for today include: finishing fireline construction, mop up, patrolling for spots, and demobilization of some resources. Resources on scene include state (both Wyoming and South Dakota), local, and volunteer fire departments, as well as Forest Service and Bureau of Land Management. There are 120 personnel assigned to the incident. Fire information can be reached at 307-746-8311.
