Okanogan- Wenatchee National Forest
Pursuant to Title 36 CFR261.50 (b), the following act is prohibited within the Okanogan� Wenatchee National Forest, Methow Valley Ranger District, as described below to provide for public safety due to wildfire.
Using any type of vehicle prohibited by the order. For the purpose of this order, this restriction prohibits all public motorized travel on (Title 36 CFR 261.54(a)):
I. FS Road#8140 from the beginning (T29N, R23E, SE 1/4, Sec. 30) to the intersection with FS Road# 8020(T29N, R22E, Sec. 16).
2. FS Road #8140-210 (T29E, R23E, Secl9) to the terminus (T29E, R23E, Sec. 19).
3. FS Road# 8140-115 from the intersection with 8140-145 ( T 29N, R 23E, Sec.
18) to the terminus ( T29N, R23E, Sec. 20).
This closure is in effective beginning September 20, 2012; and will remain in effect until rescinded.
Enforcement Plan: Notices will be posted and barricades placed at closure site. Barricades may be staffed as needed.
Pursuant to 36 CFR 261.50(e), the following persons are exempt from this order:
1. Persons with a permit specifically authorizing the otherwise prohibited act or omission or local residents where posted local resident traffic only.
2. Any Federal, State, or local officer or member of an organized search and rescue or firefighting force in the performance of official business.
3. Forest Service employees on official business.
These prohibitions are in addition to general prohibitions in 36 CFR Part 261, Subpart A. Done at Wenatchee, Washington, this 20th day of September, 2012.

Violation of this prohibition is punishable by a fine of not more than $5,000.00 for an individual or $10,000 for an organization, or imprisonment for not more than 6 months, or both. Title 16 USC Section 551 and USC 3559 and 3571.
