National Forest System Roads

Okanogan - Wenatchee National Forest

Pursuant to Title 36 CFR261.50(b), the following act is prohibited within the Okanogan - Wenatchee National Forest, Methow Valley Ranger District, as described below to provide for public safety due to wildfire.

Using any type of vehicle prohibited by the order. For the purpose of this order, this restriction prohibits all public motorized travel on (Title 36 CFR 261.54(a)):

  1. North Fork Gold Creek FS# 4340 from the intersection with County Road 1034(T32N, R22E, Sec. 17) to the intersection with FS Road # 4300-700(T32N, R21E, Sec. 19).
  1. South Fork Gold Creek Road FS #4330 from the intersection with County Road 1034 (T32N, R22E, Sec. 17) to the intersection with the FS Road # 4330-200(T30N, R21E, Sec. 2).

This closure is in effective beginning September 17, 2012; and will remain in effect until rescinded.

Enforcement Plan: Notices will be posted and barricades placed at closure site. Barricades may be staffed as needed.

Pursuant to 36 CFR 261.50(e), the following persons are exempt from this order:

·1. Persons with a permit specifically authorizing the otherwise prohibited act or omission or local residents where posted local resident traffic only.

·2. Any Federal, State, or local officer or member of an organized search and rescue or firefighting force in the performance of official business.

·3. Forest Service employees on official business.

These prohibitions are in addition to general prohibitions in 36 CFR Part 261, Subpart A.

Pursuant to Title 36 CFR261.50(b), the following act is prohibited within the Okanogan - Wenatchee National Forest, Methow Valley Ranger District, as described below to provide for public safety due to wildfire.

·1. Benson Creek Road, #4150 from intersection with FS Road #4150200(T32N, R23E, Sec. 6) to the intersection with County Road 1703 and FS Road 41 (T32N, R23E, Sec. 34).

·2. FS Road #4150200 from the intersection with Benson Creek Road #4150 (T32N, R23E, Sec. 6) to the intersection with Benson Creek #4150(T32N, R23E, Sec. 21).

·3. FS Road 4120-270 from the intersection with County Road 1543 (T32N, R22E, Sec.35) to it's terminus (T32N, R23E, Sec.30).
