The fire is 100% contained. Fire crews will continue to mop up the fire 300' into the perimeter and focus on fire line rehabilitation. Fire crews will be working closely with the Burned Area Emergency Response (BAER) Team and Resource Advisors (READ), who will coordinate the rehabilitation efforts. Fire suppression rehabilitation is critical in the protection of water shed areas. The fire resulted in the loss of vegetation, exposing soil to erosion and increased water runoff that may lead to flooding and high levels of sedimentation of water ways.

The forecasted weather over the fire today is predicted to have some southwesterly winds as a weather system moves over the Pacific Northwest. Temperatures will be in the high 90's, possibly into the 100 degree mark in the lower elevations of the fire area. Crews will monitor the winds and its influence on the fire area and patrol the perimeter to make sure the fire remains within its containment lines.

Public Safety: Smoke from the fire may be visible from Interstate 5 and local communities. Please use caution when driving along Interstate 5 in the fire area.
