AREA CLOSURE for PUBLIC SAFETY
OKANOGAN-WENATCHEE NATIONAL FOREST
Pursuant to 36 CFR 261.50(a) and (b), the following acts are prohibited on the Okanogan-Wenatchee National Forest:
To go into or be upon any area closed for protection of public health or safety. For the purposes of this order, it is prohibited to enter or be within National Forest System lands, roads, or trails within the area of the Wenatchee River Ranger District closure area consisting of: East of State Highway 97 (Extending from Blewett Pass, north to the Junction of Highway 97 and Highway 2) The eastern boundary of the Wenatchee River Ranger District along Range 19 E, extending south to the Mission Peak area and following the Cle Elum Ranger District Boundary. Refer to the closure area map as shown in Exhibit A. This includes all National Forest System (NFS) lands as described below:
Any portion of National Forest Lands within T 21, 22,23N, and R 18, 19,20E Sections 1 through 36 of USFS owned parcels, defined by the following boundary: beginning at the junction of State Highway 97 and State Highway 2/97, South to Blewitt Pass, East along the Cle Elum Ranger District Boundary, northwest following USFS property boundaries.

This closure is effective as of Sept. 12, 2012 and will remain in effect until terminated.
This closure does not prohibit through travel along any portion of State Highway 97, and State Highway 2.
