POISON CANYON FIRE
As of noon today, an Evacuation Level III has been declared for the Tripp Canyon Road from its junction with the Mission Creek Road westward. The fire has crested the ridge above Tripp Canyon and is moving downslope. Residents of the area are advised to evacuate. To provide an adequate turnaround, Mission Creek Road will be barricaded at the Coats Road junction north of the closed area. The area between the road barricade and Tripp Canyon is NOT under ANY evacuation order of any level as yet. Only property owners will be allowed beyond the barricade.
Level 1, 2, and 3 Evacuation Status is akin to a "Ready, Set, Go" level of evacuation notices with Level 1 asking residents to be ready to evacuate if conditions change, Level 2 means residents should be set to go at a moment's notice, Level 3 means authorities are advising residents to evacuate because their homes are in imminent danger.
