Use Caution When Travelling on Forest Road 23
Incident: Cascade Creek Wildfire
Released: 9/26/2012
Cascade Creek wildfire fighting operations are using Forest Road 23 (FR23) to access nearby contingency and containment lines. They also may be removing brush and wood debris from portions of this corridor. People using FR23 could encounter fire fighting equipment, personnel, and heavy smoke. They should use caution and drive carefully.
Although FR23 is not closed, the east side of FR23 between the Gifford Pinchot National Forest boundary near Trout Lake (on the south) and Forest Road 2329 (on the north) is closed. Please exercise caution and do not leave the eastern side of FR23 in this area.
