Pole Creek Announcement

Rain Assists Firefighters

Incident: Pole Creek Wildfire
Released: 9/23/2012

Saturday winds gusted to 22mph and tested the firelines. Firefighters worked through Saturday night to contain spot fires on the west side of Trout Creek Butte. Overnight the fire received 0.2-0.25 inches of rain which is helping firefighters contain the spot fires. This weather respite will be short lived with gusty winds expected later today and red flag warnings still in place.
