Mandatory Evacuations Underway Near Hayfork

Due to the steady spread of the Stafford Fire toward residential areas, the Trinity County Sheriff under advisement from the U.S. Forest Service is undertaking the mandatory evacuation of:

The area between the end of Morgan Hill Road to Genest Street;

Wild Things Road;

Wildwood Road from the north end to Highway 3.

The Sheriff will activate the "reverse 911" system to call telephones that are registered with the County. Officials will also be going door-to-door.

Officials are setting up an evacuation center at the Solid Rock Church on Tule Creek Road in Hayfork.
