Expanded Area Closure

The area closure for the Gilead Fire was expanded on September 4. This closure is necessary to protect public and firefighter health and safety.
The Restricted Area is west of the Bud Love Winter Game RAnge, north of Paradise Ranch, and south and east of Willow Park Reservoir on the Powder River Ranger District. These Forest Service trails are closed: 040, 039, 043, 010, 042, 553, 549, 051, 550, 401, 042, 133, 106, 084, and 041. Forest Service roads include 396 from its junction with road 399 and 388 in its entirety. The southern boundary of the closure area is trail 042 from west to road 396, westerly to road 399, westerly along trail 007, and 219 to the junction of trail 030.
