Last Update

Covelo, CA - The North Pass Fire is at 41,983 acres. Containment has reached 100%. Remember Fire restrictions are still in place. All forest orders can be found on the Mendocino National Forest webpage at (http://www.fs.usda.gov/mendocino) under "Alerts and Warnings".

The Arizona All Hazard Incident Management Team would like to thank all who were involved with graciously welcoming and working with our team on the North Pass Fire. The fire will be turned back over to the U.S. Forest Service as of Wednesday the 19th at 6:00 am. A tremendous amount of work has been done. The Covelo Ranger Station along with the Mendocino Forest Supervisors Office is working diligently to lift more road closures. A new Forest Order (08-12-16) came out late last night that opens more roads. The M-1 is now open, the M-2 is now open.

The fire area will remain closed due to unsafe conditions. As the temperatures increase you will notice areas of smoke. These smokes are within the perimeter of the North Pass Fire and are being monitored by fire personnel. Please feel free to contact information personnel at the Mendocino Forest Supervisors Office in Willows, Ca. at 530-934-3316.
