FOREST ORDER RSF-191

Pursuant to Title 36 CFR Part 261.50(a) and (b), the following acts are prohibited within the Siskiyou Mountains Ranger District as described in Exhibit A - Area Map, until October 15, 2012, unless sooner rescinded. This order is to provide for public health and safety due to active fire in the area.

I) Being on the trail #957 Butte Fork Trail between the junctions of #954, #955, and #956 trails

T. 48 N., R. 12 W., Mt. Diablo Meridian, from sec.31 to sec. 36. [36 CFR 261.55(a)]

II) Being on #954 Shoefly Trail (T. 48 N., R. 12 W. sec. 35, Mt. Diablo Meridian), #955 Fir Glade Trail (T. 41 S., R. 5 W. sec. 16, Willamette Meridian, to T. 48 N., R. 12 W. sec. 3., Mt. Diablo Meridian), #956 Goff Butte Trail (T. 48 N., R. 12 W., sec. 31 and T. 47 N., R. 12 W., Mt. Diablo Meridian, sec. 6) [36 CFR 261.55(a)]

Pursuant to Title 36 CFR 261.50(e), the following persons are exempt from this order:

I) Any Federal, State, or local Officer of an organized rescue or fire fighting force in the performance of an official duty.

II) Persons with a permit specifically authorizing the otherwise prohibited act or omission.

These prohibitions are in addition to the general prohibitions in Title 36 CFR Part 261, Subpart A.

Violation of this prohibition is punishable by a fine of not more than $5,000 for an individual or $10,000 for an organization or imprisonment for not more than 6 months or both, Title 16, U.S.C., Section 551 and USC 18 U.S.C. 3559 and 3571.
