Command of the Mustang Complex Fire will be turned back to the Forest at 6 a. m. tomorrow. The engines still assigned to this fire will stay another couple of days to patrol and monitor the fire.
High temperatures for today will be in the upper 50s, however humidifies will be extremely low. Once again, winds are terrain driven, meaning they are fairly light and not enough to move out the lingering smoke in the valleys which is occurring all over central Idaho.
All road closures for the Mustang Complex have been lifted as of 6 a.m. this morning. There are still hazards out there so be cautious if you go into the area.
This will be the last update by Great Basin Team 3, Mike Whalen's Type II Incident Command Team.
The Team would like to thank all the communities surrounding the fire for their hospitality and helpfulness.
