Mustang Complex Fire Update 9/26/12
Incident: Mustang Complex Wildfire
Yesterday at 6:00 p.m., the Type 2 Great Basin Incident Management Team (Team #3, Whalen, Incident Commander) assumed command of the fire. The Incident Command Post will remain in North Fork, ID.
Today's weather forecast includes some moisture with afternoon clouds. Warmer temperatures with drier conditions are expected for the rest of the week.
The 35 mph speed limit continues to be enforced within a mile span of the fire Incident Command Post area along Highway 93.
Idaho: Minimal fire activity was observed again yesterday.
Mop-up, patrolling, and rehab work continues on the southern and eastern perimeters of the fire. Firefighters will continue to look for locations to take action on the northeast corner of the fire near Allan Mountain. Line construction and burn out operations continue in the Rifle Peak area. Rehab is going well along Granite Peak.
Montana: Today, crews will continue to reinforce firelines using a bulldozer between the Chrandal Fire, which burned in July this year and the Saddle Complex, which burned last year.
