PROHIBITIONS:

Pursuant to 36 CFR � 261.50 (a) and (b), the following act is prohibited on all lands as described in this order, all within the Mountain Home and Idaho City Ranger Districts, Boise National Forest. This Order will be in effect on Friday, September 14, 2012 at 0700 and shall remain in effect until further notice.

·1. Going into or being upon an Area. 36 CFR 261.52(e)

EXEMPTIONS:

Pursuant to 36 CFR � 261.50 (e), the following persons are exempt from this order:

·1. Persons with a special use authorization or other Forest Service authorization specifically exempting them from the effect of this Order;

·2. Any Federal, State, or local officer, or member of an organized rescue or fire fighting force in the performance of an official duty; and

·3. Federal or State administrative personnel in the performance of an official duty.

·4. When given permission by a road guard, owners of private property may travel through the closure area on pre-determined routes, for the sole purpose of ingress and egress of their private property.

AREA DESCRIPTION:

The Trinity Ridge Fire Closure Area (including all roads and trails within the fire area except as defined below) is described as beginning at the intersection of Forest Highway 61 (A.K.A. Pine-Featherville Road) and the National Forest System (NFS) Road 135, located at Township 3 North, Range 10 East, Section 10; then continuing Northerly along (and excluding) NFS Road 135 to the intersection of NFS Trail 165, located at Township 4 North, Range 11 East, Section 19; then continuing Northerly along NFS Trail 165 to the administrative boundary between Mountain Home Ranger District and Idaho City Ranger District located at Township 4 North, Range 11 East, Section 7; then continuing Northwesterly along said district boundary to the intersection with NFS Road 126 (A.K.A. James Creek Road), located at Township 5 North, Range 10 East, Section 23; then continuing Westerly along the administrative boundary between Mountain Home Ranger District and Idaho City Ranger District to its intersection with the section line between Sections 19 and 20 of Township 5 North, Range 10 East; then extending North along the section lines between sections 18 and 17, 7 and 8, and 6 and 5 to the 1st Standard Parallel North line between Township 5 North and Township 6 North; then extending East along the 1st Standard Parallel North line to its intersection with the section line between Sections 32 and 33, Township 6 North, Range 10 East; then extending North along the line between sections 32 and 33, 29 and 28, 20 and 21, 17 and 16, and 8 and 9 to the Northeast corner of Section 8; Township 6 North, Range 10 East; then continuing West between the section lines of sections 8 and 5, 7 and 6, 12 and 1, 11 and 2, 10 and 3, and 9 and 4 to the Northwest corner of Section 9, Township 6 North, Range 9 East; then continuing South along section line to the Southwest corner of Section 9, Township 6 North, Range 9 East; then continuing West along section line between sections 8 and 17, 7 and 18, 12 and 13, 11 and 14, 10 and 15, and 9 and 16 to its intersection with the Southeastern Edge of the North Fork of the Boise River, located at Township 6 North, Range 8 East, on the Northern line of Section 16; then continuing Southwesterly along the Southeastern edge of the North Fork of the Boise River to its confluence with the Middle Fork of the Boise River, located at Township 4 North, Range 7 East, Section 4; then continuing Southwesterly along the Middle Fork of the Boise River to a point due North of NFS Trail 122 (AKA. William Pogue National Recreation Trail), located at Township 4 North, Range 7 East, Section 8; then continuing due South to the trailhead of NFS Trail 122; then continuing Easterly along (and excluding) NFS Trail 122 to the junction of NFS Trails 128 (A.K.A. Devil's Creek Trail), located at Township 4 North, Range 7 East, Section 14; then continuing Southeasterly along (and excluding) NFS Trail 128 to the Northwest corner of Section 25, Township 4 North, Range 7 East; then extending East along section line between Sections 25 and 24, 30 and 19, and 29 and 20 to its intersection of NFS Trail 127 located at Township 4 North, Range 8 East, Northern edge of Section 29; then continuing North along (and excluding) NFS Trail 127 to the junction of NFS Trail 123 (A.K.A. Sheep Creek Trail), located at Township 4 North, Range 8 East, Section 20; then continuing Southeasterly along (and excluding) NFS Trail 123 to the junction of NFS Trail 125, located at Township 3 North, Range 8 East, Section 11; then continuing Southeasterly along (and excluding) NFS Trail 125 to the junction of NFS Trail 125 and NFS Road 129 (AKA. Upper Lava Mountain Trailhead), located at Township 3 North, Range 8 East, Section 13; then continuing Southerly along (and excluding) NFS Road 129 to the intersection with of NFS Road 129 and the section line between Sections 19 and 30, Township 3 North, Range 9 East; then continuing East along the section line between 19 and 30, 20 and 29, 21 and 28, 22 and 27, and 23 and 26, to the intersection of NFS Trail 172 located at Township 3 North, Range 9 East, Section 25; then continuing Northerly along (and excluding) NFS Trail 172 to the junction with NFS Trail 270 (A.K.A. Green Creek Trail) located at Township 3 North, Range 9 East, Section 23; then continuing Southeasterly along (and excluding) NFS Trail 270 to the Northeastern edge of the South Fork of the Boise River located at Township 2 North, Range 10 East, Section 5; then continuing Northerly along the Western edge of the South Fork of the Boise River to the intersection with Forest Highway 61 (A.K.A. Pine-Featherville Road) located at Township 3 North, Range 10 East, Section 9; then continuing Northerly, becoming Easterly along (and excluding) Forest Highway 61 back to the point of origin.

Public use of the following roads, within the above closure area, is open for the sole purpose of ingress and egress through the closure area:

· Forest Road 156 (A.K.A. Rocky Bar and Phifer Creek roads) beginning at the intersection with Forest Highway 61 (A.K.A. Pine-Featherville Road) located in Township 3 North, Range 10 East, Section 10 to its terminus with Forest Road 268 (A.K.A. Middle Fork Boise Road) located at Township 6 North, Range 9 East, Section 35.

· Forest Road 126 (A.K.A. James Creek Road) beginning at the intersection with Forest Road 156 (A.K.A. Rocky Bar Road) located at Township 4 North, Range 10 East, Section 8 to its terminus with Forest Road 268 (A.K.A. Middle Fork Boise Road) located at Township 6 North, Range 11 East, Section 4 (near Atlanta).

· NFS Road 327 (A.K.A. Swanholm Road) from its intersection with NFS Road 348 at Deer Park (Township 7 North, Range 9 East, Section 28) to its terminus with Forest Road 268 (A.K.A. Middle Fork Boise Road) located at Township 6 North, Range 9 East, Section 35.

· Forest Road 268 (A.K.A. Middle Fork Boise Road) beginning at the junction with Forest Highway 156 and NFS Road 327 located at Township 6 North, Range 9 East, Section 35 to a point outside the Area Closure at the intersection of NFS Road 205 near the community of Atlanta (Township 5 North, Range 11 East, Section 2.

The above described Area (including all roads and trails within the Area) are located on National Forest System lands within the administrative and proclaimed boundaries of the Mountain Home and Idaho City Ranger Districts within the Boise National Forest.

PURPOSE:

The Area as described above, enter into an area with ongoing wildfire activity (Trinity Ridge Fire). This area is closed for public safety and protection from hazards associated with wildfire.

IMPLEMENTATION:

·1. This Order will be in effect on Friday, September 14, 2012 at 0700 and shall remain in effect until further notice.

·2. A map identifying the closure area is attached and made part of this Order.

·3. Violation of the above prohibition is punishable by a fine of not more than $5,000.00 for an individual, or $10,000.00 for an organization, and/or imprisonment for not more than six (6) months. 16 U.S.C. �551; 18 U.S.C. �� 3571(b)(6), 3581 (b)(7).

·4. This Order supersedes any previous Order(s) prohibiting the same, or similar acts prohibited by this Order in the areas (and/or roads, trails) covered by this Order.

·5.
