PROHIBITIONS:

Pursuant to 36 CFR § 261.50 (a) and (b), the following act is prohibited on all lands as described in this order, all within the Mountain Home and Idaho City Ranger Districts, Boise National Forest and Fairfield Ranger District and Sawtooth National Recreation Area, Sawtooth National Forest. This Order will be in effect when signed and shall remain in effect until further notice.

·1. Going into or being upon an Area. 36 CFR 261.52(e)

EXEMPTIONS:

Pursuant to 36 CFR § 261.50 (e), the following persons are exempt from this order:

·1. Persons with a special use authorization or other Forest Service authorization specifically exempting them from the effect of this Order;

·2. Any Federal, State, or local officer, or member of an organized rescue or fire fighting force in the performance of an official duty; and

·3. Federal or State administrative personnel in the performance of an official duty.

·4. When given permission by a road guard, owners of private property may travel through the closure area on pre-determined routes for the sole purpose of ingress and egress of their private property.

·5. When given permission by a road guard, Twin Springs owners and their guests may travel from Slide Gulch to the Twin Springs Resort for the sole purpose of ingress and egress.

AREA DESCRIPTION:

The Trinity Ridge Fire Closure Area (including all roads and trails within the fire area) is described as beginning near Baumgartner Campground (including Baumgartner Campground) at the intersection of National Forest System (NFS) Road 227 (A.K.A. South Fork Boise River Road) and the Elmore County and Camas County line, located at Township 3 North, Range 12 East, Section 17; then continuing Northerly along the Elmore County and Camas County line its intersection with the Sawtooth Wilderness, located at Township 5 North, Range 12 East, Section 17; then continuing Northerly along the Boise National Forest and Sawtooth Wilderness boundary to the Middle Fork of the Boise River, located at Township 6 North, Range 12 East, Section 29; then continuing Northeasterly along a ridge to the summit of Greylock Mountain at Township 6 North, Range 11 East, Section 24; then continuing along the ridgeline North to the summit of Blizzard Mountain at Township 6 North, Range 11 East, Section 12; then continuing North Northeast along the ridge to Plummer Peak and the Elmore County and Boise County line, located at Township 7 North, Range 12 East, section 8; then continuing along the county line to the Idaho City Ranger District (RD) and Lowman RD boundary at Township 8 North, Range 10 East, Section 10; then continuing along the Idaho City RD and Lowman RD boundary Westerly to Idaho State Highway 21, located at Township 8 North, Range 7 East, Section 15; then continuing Southwesterly along the Southeastern edge of Idaho State Highway 21 (excluding the access roads and campground boundaries of Edna Creek Campground, Hayfork Campground, Bad Bear Picnic Area, and Ten Mile Campground) to Ten Mile Campground located at Township 7 North, Range 6 East, Section 25; then directly Southeast to the Southeastern edge of Mores Creek; then Southwesterly along (and excluding) Mores Creek to a point where NFS Road 304 (A.K.A. Pine Creek Road) crosses over Mores Creek, located at Township 6 North, Range 5 East, Section 36; then continuing Southeasterly along (and including) NFS Road 304 to the junction of NFS Roads 304 and 203, located at Township 5 North, Range 6 East, Section 22; then continuing Southwesterly along (and including) NFS Road 203 to the junction of NFS Road 203 and NFS Road 377 (A.K.A. Cottonwood Creek Road) located at Township 4 North, Range 5 East, Section 10; then Southerly along (but excluding) NFS Road 377 to the junction of NFS Road 268 located at Township 3 North, Range 5 East, Section 2; then Easterly along (but excluding) NFS Road 268 to the junction of Forest Road 113 (A.K.A. Slide Gulch) located at Township 4 North, Range 6 East, Section 28; then Southeasterly along (but excluding) Forest Road 113 to the junction of NFS Road 217 located at Township 3 North, Range 6 East, Section 24; then Easterly along (and including) NFS Road 217 to the Devils Creek Trailhead located at Township 3 North, Range 8 East, Section 14; then Northerly along (and including) NFS Trail 128 to the junction of NFS Trail 126 located at Township 3 North, Range 7 East, Section 1; then Southerly along (and including) NFS Trail 126 to the junction of NFS Trail 125 located at Township 3 North, Range 8 East, Section 17; then continuing Easterly along (and including) NFS Trail 125 to the junction of NFS Trail 125 and NFS Road 129 (AKA. Upper Lava Mountain Trailhead), located at Township 3 North, Range 8 East, Section 13; then continuing Southerly along (and including) NFS Road 129, becoming NFS Road 128, then NFS Road 123 (A.K.A. Fall Creek Road) to the junction of NFS Roads 123 and 113 (near Fall Creek Campground) located at Township 1 North, Range 9 East, Section 16; Then continuing South to the Idaho Fish and Game hunting unit boundary of units 39, 43, and 44 (located in the middle of Anderson Ranch Reservoir); then continuing Easterly along the boundary of hunting units 43 and 44 to the BLM and USFS boundary located on the line of Sections 15 and 16 in Township 1 North, Range 10 East; then South along the Forest Service boundary to its boundary with private land located on the line of Sections 21 and 22 in Township 1 North, Range 10 East; then continuing Easterly along the Forest Service and private land boundary to the Boise National Forest and Sawtooth National Forest boundary on the line of Sections 27 and 28 in Township 1 North, Range 10 East; then continuing Easterly along the Sawtooth National Forest and private land boundary in Sections 27, 26, and 25 in Township 1 North, Range 10 East to the intersection of the boundary and the Elmore County and Camas County Line; then continuing Northerly along the Elmore County and Camas County line back to the point of origin.

The above described Area (including all roads and trails within the Area) are located on National Forest System lands within the administrative and proclaimed boundaries of the Mountain Home and Idaho City Ranger Districts within the Boise National Forest, and the Fairfield Ranger District and Sawtooth National Recreation Area within the Sawtooth National Forest, Elmore County, Idaho, Boise Meridian.

PURPOSE:

The Area as described above, enter into an area with ongoing wildfire activity (Trinity Ridge Fire). This area is closed for public safety and protection from hazards associated with wildfire.

IMPLEMENTATION:

·1. This Order will be in effect when signed and shall remain in effect until further notice.

·2. A map identifying the closure area is attached and made part of this Order.

·3. Violation of the above prohibition is punishable by a fine of not more than $5,000.00 for an individual, or $10,000.00 for an organization, and/or imprisonment for not more than six (6) months. 16 U.S.C. §551; 18 U.S.C. §§ 3571(b)(6), 3581 (b)(7).

·4. This Order supersedes any previous Order(s) prohibiting the same, or similar acts prohibited by this Order in the areas (and/or roads, trails) covered by this Order.

·5.
