TODAY...

WEATHER...Smoky in the morning. The visibility will improve on the mid slopes and higher ridges by 1000. However the smoke could get thicker after 1000 in the valleys.

TEMPERATURES: 75 except 81 in the thermal between 4000 and 5000 feet.

MINIMUM RELATIVE HUMIDITY: 18 to 20 percent except 29 percent along the valley bottom.

20 FT WINDS:

RIDGE TOP WINDS - Northeast 3 to 6 mph, then southwest 5 to 15 mph after 1000.

MID SLOPE - Downslope 2 to 4 mph until 0900. Then upslope 4 to 8 mph.

VALLEY - Southeast 3 to 5 mph until 0900. Then northwest 3 to 6 mph increasing to 5 to 11 mph by 1300.

HAINES INDEX: 4.

STABILITY/INVERSION: 200 to 400 feet msl lifting to 5000 feet msl by 1300.
