As of 4:45 p.m. today Highway 89 is closed from 4.3 miles north of Greenville to 7 miles south of the junction of State Road 36 /at Butt Lake RD/ (Plumas County) This expanded road closure is due to heavy smoke in the area as well as large numbers of emergency vehicles on the roadways. State highway 147 is closed from the junction with county road A13 south to the junction with Highway 89.
