Ash Creek Complex Announcement

Weather and Fire Update 7/11/2012 9:35pm

Incident: Ash Creek Complex Wildfire
Released: 7/11/2012

High winds associated with thunderstorms increased fire activity in two areas of the complex this evening. In the Indian Creek area on the west side of the Taylor Creek Fire (about 3.5 miles east of Fort Howes) engines are doing mop up on a hot spot and will be working there overnight. On the west side of the Ash Creek fire, a sawdust pile is producing some smoke and flame, but is well within the interior of the fire area. Crews will be patrolling throughout the night due to the continuing Red Flag warning that will expire at midnight and thunderstorm activity that may continue until 3:00am. Aircraft will be flying as early as safely possible to patrol for any new starts in the area surrounding the complex.
