Wood Hollow Fire Update

July 1, 2012

The Wood Hollow Fire has burned approximately 47,387 acres since its start on June 24. The fire is now 80 percent contained with the estimated containment date of today. The fire spread into Utah County has been checked.

Red Flag wWarnings are expected today with the chance of wind gusts up to 22 mph. Fire fighters continue to mop up and do fire line rehabilitation. They are also taking care of any hot spots to make sure the perimeter of the fire is safe. Property owners were allowed to return to their properties Saturday.

Personnel has started to be re-assigned to other fires leaving 657 personnel on the Wood Hollow Fire.
