Office hours: 7 a.m. to 10 p.m.
Incident: This wildland fire started on 6/24/2012, cause is under investigation.
Location: Ten miles north of Whitehall, MT.
Jurisdiction: Beaverhead-Deerlodge National Forest
Cooperating Agencies: Montana DNRC, Jefferson County Commissioners & Sheriff Offices
Incident Commander: Rick Kusicko, Northern Rockies Type II Incident Management Team (IMT). The Incident Command Post (ICP) is located at the Whitehall High School.
Current Size: 686 acres Containment: 65%
Structures Threatened: None
Structures Lost: None
Status: The fire has been actively burning in timber/grass fuels in the Dearborn Canyon area.
Yesterday's Activities: Crews made good progress in the construction of line building and have all but the northeast quarter of the fine lined.
Current Resources: Three 20-person crews, two water tenders, one dozer and two helicopters. Total personnel: 69.
Today's Activities: Crews will continue to construct handline to the north and east. One hotshot crew is spiked out on the fire.
The public is advised to get all fire information for the Antelope and Pony Fires from our ICP in Whitehall.
