Little Bear Fire Announcement

Flash Flood Evacuation/Warning Lifted

Incident: Little Bear Fire Wildfire
Released: 6/16/2012

Submitted by Lincoln County Emergency Services

3:45pm June 16, 2012

Lincoln County residents evacuated earlier today can return to their residences now that the potential for flooding has diminished along Rio Bonito, Rio Ruidoso, Eagle Creek, Little Creek, Magado Creek and Nogal Canyon. The County urges residents to monitor the weather and consider moving to higher ground if further flash flood advisories and warnings are issued. Residents are encouraged to remain vigilant for rapidly rising water during upcoming rains. Rivers and streams within Lincoln County may pose extra hazards this summer due to the effects of the Little Bear Fire, White Fire and Donaldson Fire.
