Lincoln County Residents Within 100 Yds of Creek Asked to Evacuate

A flash flood warning has been issued by Lincoln County to ALL residents throughout the County within 100 yards of ANY creek or stream and in low lying areas. Residents are being asked to evacuate due to impending weather and current heavy rain over the areas affected by the Little Bear Fire, White Fire and Donaldson Fire.

Water levels could rise rapidly in Rio Bonito, Rio Ruidoso, Eagle Creek, Little Creek, Magado Creek and Nogal Canyon.

Sandbags are available to residents at the Main Ruidoso Fire Department Station on Sudderth and at the Lincoln County Office of Emergency Services at Copper Canyon.
