Location: Approximately 5 miles northwest of Greenwich, Utah
Cause: Human
Size: Estimated at 2, 018 acres. Acreage has been updated to reflect both the prescribed burn acres (839) and the wildfire acres (1,179).
Fuels: Mixed conifer with aspen.
Assigned Resources: 8 crews, 3 helicopters, 16 engines, 2 dozers, 4 water tenders and miscellaneous overhead and camp crew. Total personnel 359.
Observed Fire Behavior: Creeping and smoldering.
Containment: 85%
Fireline to Build: 1 mile

Evacuations: Summer homes and cabins.
Closures: To provide for public and firefighter safety, area closures for the fire have been implemented. All trails and roads within the area from the junction of Forest Roads 2421 and 068 south along Forest Road 068 to the South Fork of Box Creek at the intersection of Road 070/the Paiute ATV Trail, northwest to Dry Creek Ranger Station through Big Flat and then north along the Paiute ATV Trail/083 to Manning Meadows, then north along Road 1163 to Road 081, then east along Road 2421 to the intersection of Road 068 near the Koosharem Guard Station. Additional closure points are located at the Monroe Mountain Road at Hunt's Lake; Greenwich Road at Indian Flat; Koosharem Road at Milos Kitchen; and Cove Road at Christensen Springs.
Remarks: Yesterday, crews continued mopping burned areas adjacent to the fire perimeter. The fire is being managed under a full suppression strategy. Public and firefighter safety is a top objective for fire managers as well as minimizing impacts to private property. Marty Adell's Type II Incident Management Team is preparing to transition management of the fire back to the local fire unit, which is expected to be complete Thursday.
