Incident: Little Sand Wildfire

Fire activity on the southwestern portion of the fire has increased. The fire spotted across the Piedra River. Helicopters responded quickly with water drops, and firefighters are hiking in to build line around it and ensure it's completely out.
As predicted, thunderstorms are building to the east and southeast; wind and dry lightning are expected with these storms.
On other parts of the fire, thick smoke has been reported in the Weminuche Valley.
