Buckeye Reservoir Road, R 1 Road and John Brown Road are closed to public access for public and firefighter safety.
Today's Events:
Firefighters made significant progress constructing and strengthening containment lines aided by helicopter water drops. Firefighters conducted small burnout operations in multiple locations along the perimeter but most were concentrated on the southwest side of the fire. Structure protection is in place on private lands north of the fire in Sinbad Valley. Firefighter and public safety are always the number one priority in conducting wildland firefighting operations. Lighter winds are predicted again for tomorrow which should allow for continued line improvement. Additional crew resources are en-route and those crews will help us take advantage of continued favorable weather conditions.
