Evacuation Order Lifted

Jeff Davis County Judge George Grubb lifted the evacuation order for Davis Mountain resort on Thursday evening, effective at 7 p.m.
Due to significant progress made today in building fireline along the southern boundary of the Livermore Ranch fire, the interagency team managing the effort has agreed that the fire is no longer a threat to the area.
Residents are encouraged to use caution while driving as they re-enter the area due to increased traffic from the remaining large firefighting vehicles still working in the area. Residents also are encouraged to drive with headlights on, as heavy dust in the area has reduced visibility.
