5/8/12 Smmu Prescribed Burning Update

The SMMU will be prescribed burning on the East McCloud Timber Sale Underburn project on Thursday, May 9, 2012. The first location is the Smokey Timber Sale for approximately 100 acres. Up to 400 acres will be burned in Smokey while weather and fuel conditions are favorable to meeting objectives. Other burn locations for this Spring are within the Hemlock and Powder sales and will occur as weather and dry slash and litter conditions allow. Updates will be posted as burning continues.
