Indian Trail Fire Estimated at 3000+ Acres

The Indian Trail Fire, reported Thursday (9/9/09), grew to an estimated 3000 acres overnight. In Incident Management Team (Incident Commander Tom Heintz) will receive a briefing on the fire this morning, and will assume management today.

The fire is believed to have started as the result of an RV fire that destroyed several trailers in the vicinity of the Indian Trail Marina. An investigation is underway.
