LILY LAKE FIRE

Size: The Lily Lake Fire is over 500 acres, actively burning in short runs and tree torching.
Location: The fire is NE of Wisdom, 1/2 mile east of Lily Lake on the ridge top. Township 2 South, Range 14 West, Section 27.
TRAIL CLOSURES
The Lily Lake to Sand Lake Trail #3380, from where the trail drops into Lily Lake, (NW1/4NE1/4 Section 33, Township 2 South, Range 14 West), north, then east to the junction with the Pioneer Loop Trail # 2750;
The Pioneer Loop Trail #2750 north of Sand Lake from junction with Sand Lake Trail #3380, northerly to junction with Demijohn Creek Trail #2162;
The McVey Creek Trail #3098, northwesterly from junction with Sand Lake Trail #3380, to the Eastside Overland Trail #3378.
Objectives: Firefighter and public safety is always recognized as the first priority. This low intensity fire is consuming dead and down fuels and will help regenerate new growth in stagnant whitebark pine stands. Wildlife will benefit from maintenance of parks and openings
